Shoaib Sultan jobber til daglig som presse- og medieansvarlig i Norsk Folkehjelp.
Han var rådgiver i Antirasistisk senter fra 2011 til 2019. Fra 2007 til 2010 var han generalsekretær i Islamsk råd Norge.
Han har også vært politiker for Miljøpartiet de grønne i flere år, og var valgt inn i Oslo bystyre fra 2015 til 2019.
Sultan er styremedlem i Hikmah-huset.
